A real busy week in winkler as the local junior the, the Winkler Flyers, of which I am serving as President this season, were hosting the CAnadian Junior A Prospects game. 40 of the top rated junior a players from across Canada descended into Winkler for a two game series. During the event we also hosted our annual Sportsmans dinner. Gerry Cheevers and Blly Smith were our guest speakers. Dick Jonckowski was our guest emcee – he is funny! I had the priviledge of picking him up and returning him Wednesday to the airport in Grand Forks. I was pooped when this event was over.

THings are also busy at Southland as there are some great programs on to assist people in getting great deals on the few remainign 2009 products! It is a good time to get your own Christmas gifts!
